Lets look at the difference between on time and in time. They often mean the same, but sometimes they are different.
On time means according to a schedule or a deadline.
If I dont finish my work on time, my boss will be angry.
My train is never on time.
In time means not too late to be successful.
I missed my deadline, but I still got the presentation finished in time for the meeting.
My train was late, but it still arrived in time for me to get to work early.
Neither my presentation nor my train were on time – but they were in time for me to do what I needed to do.
Its good to be on time; its even more important to be in time!
The difference is down to how flexible your schedule is – but be careful – sometimes, if youre not on time, you wont be in time, either!
使用方法概要
1. “On time” 用来谈论 “根据某个设定好的计划、时刻表或者最后期限做某事”，意思是 “按时，按时”。

2. “In time” 用来谈论 “没由于太迟而致使事情没办法顺利进行”，意思是 “准时”。

3. 假如条件和日程安排相对宽松，那样有时，虽然没做到 “on time（按时）”，但因为做到了 “in time（准时）”，事情还是可以顺利进行。

4. 但有时，譬如在时间安排非常紧的状况下，假如没办法做到 “on time（按时）”，那样也就无法做到 “in time（准时）”。
Sometimes, if youre not on time, you wont be in time either!
